I absolutely love the idea of getting a watch I can share with my wife.

My wife has claimed 5 of my watches, which is both good and bad. The bad is I'm not likely to wear them again, the good is that I am already working on their replacements. Thanks for the review.

I adore MOP on Men's watches, they're super prevalent in female watches but quite rare in men's. Fears deserves credit for taking MOP seriously. I prefer 'White' variants but still. My first ever 'expensive' watch that I bought with my own money because I thought it was unbelievably cool and frankly a bargain given what it could do was the original Tissot T-Touch with a white Mother of Pearl dial. That came out before Touch Phones let alone smart watches so being able to tap the crystal and have the hands move into 'Compass' mode and point North was an AMAZING party trick! Plus be a Barometer, Thermometer, Altimeter, Alarm and Chronograph was WILD for the time. Even now I see people's eyes light up when I show them.

I regret not buying this one golden Tudor with a black dial I saw when my A.D. was closing. It was on a leather. It was a display model and had a small scratch. Altogether it was around 70% off retail and they were literally disassembling the shelves and removing light fixtures from the store - I felt like the world around me was crumbling, my friend was with me and I should’ve just bought it, that same watch is around 5000 now. The watch really was so me! I should definitely have bought it. I could have afforded it easily… then I went through a period of time where I lost the money anyway being stupid, so buying the watch would’ve been the better decision!

I totally missed the whole northern lights shenanigans too for exactly the same reason… Clarkson’s Farm has a lot to answer for.

I met Nicholas in California and was able to check out the watches in person and they really do look great.

Whatever is going on at 11:11 and the 13:01 mark, the finish on the seam between the pearl and blue looks terrible. perhaps it is a feature of the materials, but looks unfinished to me.

As a Fears fanboy, I can actually understand people’s worries concerning price etc. considering the amount of craftsmanship that goes into each model can explain to an extent….what sets them apart is number 4…the gentleman’s passion for the brand is infectious. The community of owners is a huge plus and not as blinkered as other British micro brands such as Christopher Ward.

Bring a white scrim from the top of the opening of your white box, to nearly touching your lens. It should kill that black circle reflection on your watches.

Seiko's lack of quality control eliminates the brand. I have a Scurfa Treasure Seeker that is much better than the one included here. My case looks much better with crown guards but the main difference in mine is the Miyota 9015 automatic movement. I have the honeycomb wite dial and it looks great. Super lume too, one of the very best. This entire video could have limited itself to Orient. It's definitely the bang for buck standout across the brand!
